Full-Time Teaching Assistant – Chorley Secondary School

Location: Chorley, Lancashire
Start Date: 5 October 2026
Contract: Long-term, Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, school hours

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Chorley from 5 October on a long-term basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone with relevant school-based experience who is passionate about supporting young people and helping them achieve their potential.

The Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils across the secondary school setting.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs and SEND.
• Help promote positive behaviour and engagement.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Work closely with teaching staff to support pupil progress and wellbeing.

The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working with children or young people in an education setting.
• Has a genuine interest in supporting pupils’ learning and development.
• Is confident supporting pupils with SEND and additional needs.
• Has good communication and behaviour management skills.
• Is reliable, adaptable and able to work as part of a team.
• Is available full-time from 5 October and committed to a long-term position.
